Jill Bullitt
In her teaching, Jill Bullitt works to increase the artist’s involvement with the dynamic working space of the picture. She has taught painting and drawing at UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, Mt. Olive College, the Savannah College of Art and Design and the University Of Washington in Seattle. Jill’s schooling includes studying with Nicolas Carone in New York City and Nathan Oliveira and Frank Lobdell in the Bay Area.
Bullitt has exhibited across the country and in Europe, including at the Ackland Art Museum in Chapel Hill, the American Academy in Rome, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters Invitational in NYC, where she was a Finalist for an Award in Painting. Her most recent fellowship was a Wake County Artists Grant for 2009.
