His courses at the Raleigh Institute for Contemporary Art are intended for photographers of any skill level who want to develop their practice as photographers and explore photography as a medium for making art. Class meetings will combine discussions of styles and traditions in fine art photography, critiques of student work, and planning for further work. Students will improve their skills in making images and in using photography to express their vision of the world around them. They will organize their best images into bodies of work united by common themes or approaches. They will explore ways of finding wider audiences for their photography.
